Paul, good to see you added to the list. Are you booking a room, or camping? We will surely have some good rides for you to enjoy.

Most likely camping but will want to go where other riders are going. Haven't had time to read through the thread but I saw campsites for $10 with showers? August seems forever away right now but every weekend until then seems to already be booked. Looking forward to it!

I wish there was one place we could all stay but Cle Elum just isn't big enough.

NorthwestCajun Glen has been a busy beaver lately riding new bikes, loading tanks on trains and bashing heads to get vendors on board with us for our August Ride in Cle Elum.

The most recent activity is Chet, whom will be providing a short seminar on essential riding tips for off road riding skills. Donations will greatly be appreciated for attending his seminar. This seminar will be Friday evening AUgust 15th for those of you wishing to get some tips in your off road riding habits.

In case you haven't heard, we have on board for Vendors:

ALtRider

SPortland Yamaha Cle Elum

Heidenau Tires

Yamaha

Konflict Motorsports

Cyclops Lighting

Touratec is close to also becoming a sponsor.

It is looking like it is shaping up to be a great weekend.

Are you thinking of coming over for the ride? IF so, can you send either a reply or direct email to Glen or I on this?

See you all in AUgust to ride some of the finest roads the WABDR can toss at you!!!

We are still planing on 40-50 +/- The word is being spread over 3 or 4 venues so an accurate number will be hard to pin down. We will be pre riding the off road routes the weekend of July 19/20. Let us know if y'all want to help out.

Was looking at camping options for this weekend anyone in the area have any experience or comments regarding the Fraternal Order of Eagles campsite in Cle Elum. Its called Eagle Valley 390 Watson Cutoff Road. Are they open to the general public or a member only thing. If they will allow biker scum like us to stay the rates and facilities look good.
Ill try giving them a call.

Would this be a good trip for a beginner ADV guy? I have been riding motorcycles all my life, but I haven't seen dirt since I was 10....which was a loooonnnnggg time ago.

I'm in. Got the vacation time blocked, and the wife's blessing. Now all I need is a decent spot to pitch a tent. I'm assuming the Eagles place you don't have to be a member? All the other places that aren't full, are too far out. Would rather be closer in to Cle Elum. I think I'm going to drop in Thursday night or early Friday morning.

Superjet, the ride can be what you want based on your level. The forest service roads north and south of Cle Elum on the WABDR are not technical. They offer awesome scenery. Most of the people riding that weekend enjoy riding slower paces, taking pics and not pushing the envelope for speed. You will be filled with scenery on any of the BDR rides. The road rides are also great loop rides.

Hope to see you there.

Thanks Jeff,
I figured as much, but I though I would ask. I will do my best to get there.

I appreciate the reply.

I really hope I can make this, it sounds awesome and I'm glad there are ride outs that are easy going as I don't wanna ding it up in the first week :'(.....it's gonna be close to me getting the bike and then I've got to break it in but the challenge is set :)

Chris, the dealer in Cle Elum for the event could help you with that. He has done quite a few Tenere services and owns one himself.

Got my tent spot reserved at Eagle Valley. I spoke with Joyce (509) 674-7762. She's very nice to deal with. I also advised her there might be more people from the Tenere group calling for reservations. She said there are plenty of tent spaces left (didn't ask about RV spots, sorry). So if anybody is interested, give her a call.
