mine should be here any day.
They can be directly wired to the battery, as they have a sensor that cuts out once the controller detects less than 11 amps draw...or something like that..

I just installed mine using the grip htr. Plug Theres two option there one wire is energized when eng is on other is when ign is on Black is ground. Works great!

I got mine here. If all you want are the .090 terminals, they're listed toward the bottom of the page. Same terminals fit the 4pin (HM series) grip connector and the 3 pin (MT series) light connector . $5 min. order...

Blue/Black- 12V Ignition on through the key switch.
Black/Green- 12V Engine on through the headlight relay.
