Open port on Airbox ?

Opinion?
There are 2 ports on the airbox
one is for valve cover breathing
Other port looks to be a drain but my 2017 has a rubber plug with a tension hose clamp and the 2018 has just the open hole. On a good note I see no dust or signs of violation. But it has low miles.

On dirt bikes the have a drain that looks like a shriveled witch tit so water can drain and dust cant get in.
Does my 2017 have a bogus cap (looks like the one in the parts book ?? got me) Maybe I should close it off with silicon as the plug serves no purpose.

That port needs a plug to cap it off otherwise unfiltered air will enter the engine. Remove the plug occasionally to drain any oil. I added a hose to mine with a plug at the bottom and hanging near the oil filter, so I'm reminded to drain it at each oil change.
Where did you get the hose and what size is it?
