Don't try this at home, or anywhere else for that matter.
That's the hard way to part out a bike.Just when you think the motorcycle had hit the bottom, it would rise, Phoenix-like, from the cloud of dust and continue its downward trajectory towards the end. Kind of a metaphor for life.
But hey, it'll probably buff out.
Hater! At least it was only a BMW

Kinda my point. That was a single track. Take the box off, and likely all is well. Take the CRF 'cuz that would be the right tool for the job.. . . . Dude made a bad judgement call and hit a rock with his pannier. He lost his balance and fell off the cliff. That same thing could have happened to a guy on a CRF-250, if he made the same bad call. . . . .
Same exhaust set up on BMW 650 GS. Guy at work had one, so that’s what it looked like to me.Nope. Someone else on FB said it was a Tenere 660 and here's a screenshot from a video further down the posting

Don't know what happened. I tried to load it again and got the same result. It must be a FB thing. Worked fine yesterday. You can probably view it if you go to the Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere group on Facebook and look for the original post.
