No cruise control on the 2015. Strange
I have the 2015 ES and it does have cruise control!Ryan G. said:No cruise control on the 2015. Strange
Where do people come up with this? Just go to the manufacturer's site. :Ryan G. said:No cruise control on the 2015. Strange
I think the OP was referring specifically to the ES model, which does come only in red for 2015.Checkswrecks said:Where do people come up with this? Just go to the manufacturer's site. :
The USA versions of BOTH Tenere trim levels definitely have cruise, per the following from the Yamaha Motor Sports site. The red is not the only color either.

non-ES
My wife works for one of the contractors that does IMS events, (BMW in her case). Most of the show people in factory shirts do not work for that OEM or even a local dealer, but are just people hired to do the shows, man the booths and show off the products. They typically get fliers and bike info and study that so they can answer questions, but you don't always get the right answers, depending on their experience. My wife told someone during her first show that the BMW K1600GTL had powered reverse, (hey, it's a big pig of a touring bike, why wouldn't it have reverse?). She's had two Goldwings and just assumed BMW's top of the line touring bike would have it, but it doesn't. opps!Ryan G. said:I'm glad to be wrong about the cruise control on the 2015. The Yamaha sales guy told me this at the Motorcycle show in Washington DC last weekend. I thought it was strange. The cruise control is a definite plus and works great on my bike. The sales guy also said there is a waiting list to buy the 2015. That probably isn't true either.
There was a great display of the 1200 motor with cut aways to see inside the motor.
Not an unreasonable assumption on the part of your wife. Seeing the bulk of the K1600GTL, I would have thought the same. ::008::EricV said:My wife works for one of the contractors that does IMS events, (BMW in her case).
