is the way the front indicators are running lights? Whose idea is that??? Is there any evidence that it actually improves your visibility to others? Maybe it even makes the indicators LESS visible when turning, due to less contrast?
Actually it wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't have to look at the damn things glowing all the time. The design of the indicator means there's a 1/2" rim of orange light around them all the time, which is really annoying, especially at night.
I don't want to go to the expense of the LED indicators and if they are less bright that would be another reason to avoid them. I haven't looked at a wiring diagram yet but I imagine it should not be too hard to cut the power for the running lights. If that's difficult then I'll be wrapping some black electrical tape around them!
