Since my YST ( 2012 , Blue ) is a Big Bore Adventure Bike and my wife and I are going to use it to explore new places , we've named our bike Magellan , after the great explorer Ferdinand Magellan. Magellan

How about Lewis or Clark for your Big Bore Adventure bike ?

We went through a couple of iterations before settling on mine. "Babe" (the blue ox), "Papa Smurf" (or Azrael (a tough, mangy cat). Flash, BlueStreak, or maybe B.B. King, Howling Wolf, or some other famous "Blue"s player

Mine got named for me. After 7 years of owning a 2005 red KLR650, I got a used raven 2012 S10. My primary riding buddies are on their KLR's (new body style though) and on our first ride together that I brought the S10, they dubbed my bike - "Fancy." If you look at the battle scars she carries from offroad naps and the thick coating of dirt and dust, and she hardly qualifies as a "Fancy." However, I have embraced the moniker and will continue to utilize her in a manner that belies her name.
