Oil sump pan screen cover... whatever it's technically called with a hole in it.

First, I'm an idiot. I used the factory bolt not the one in the kit and didn't realize it until I had a problem. Basically a little piece popped out of the casting and made an extra, smaller drain hole. I found it on Thursday morning when I was about to leave for Romney, ruined my weekend.

SO now I have it welded up and back on. I couldn't acquire a new gasket locally (My parts runner MBABC couldn't anyways) so I reused the other one since it didn't look bad but I will probably go ahead and order one and swap it out during an oil change. I filled it back up with oil, fired it up, let it run for 5-10 minutes to warm up, shut it off and let it cool back down. Yesterday I got it out, looked around the gasket and down in the skid plate and everything looked good so I fired it up and took off around through the neighborhood. After maybe 5 minutes of low speed riding I pulled over and looked under it again, now I have a little oil dripping from what looks like to be from the sensor onto the skid plate. My new question is, can I pull the front drain plug only , saving as much of the fresh oil as possible and remove the sensor to inspect the o-ring? Give me a break I'm new to this bike, just look at my join date! Oh and does that weld look acceptable to those of you that may have experienced this kind of thing? Yes, I checked and found out the new covers have been on back order...
