I think the bike is a specil edition for this guys... did you see the wheelie on minute 1???.... a regular S10 can´t do it!!! (but it´s carry a OEM exhaust, i don´t understand!!!)

I want that bike now!!!!! ::26::

Turn your TC off and the bike will do it... It also helps with a few bolt on engine goodies......... This bike is SO FUN !! We've ridden hooligan like this guy many times, what a blast !! ::008::

I'm jealous of those skills. I think I could probably develop skills like that if it were not for two factors.
Fear of breaking my bike.
Fear of breaking me!

Other than that I'm right there.

Not a special edition Tenere at all.
That is the bike that Yamaha produced and the worlds motorcycle press understands so little of.

I even think I heard the familiar sound of ABS on rocks. So I suspect it was plain ole Tenere shod with proper off-road (short-life) tires, TC-off, and ABS still enabled.

Those jumps would not fair well with my jumbo gut on OEM springs though. And, I can only roost like him in my dreams.

But that IS my Tenere. Available to anyone at their local Yamaha dealer.

Biggest dirt bike in the world. :)

Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, and as a reminder for all here who never turn off traction control and ABS, most of what he did is not possible without turning both systems off.

I could be wrong, but I think his ABS was still enabled. I thought I heard the familiar "clatter" that this bike makes on those surfaces under ABS braking. Nor did I ever see his rear lock up.

I was surprised, admittedly. Figured with his skills he would have disabled. But that video is further evidence of how brilliant the ABS on this bike is.
The world will never embrace it. But seeing is believing.

When he did that quick 180 on the dirt road, he slid the rear by locking it up. Probably other instances, but I would have to spend some time looking more closely at the video.

I think of you ride like that, all it takes is powering on down a road from spinning the rear wheel and it will sense a "power user" and turn itself off. :D

Keep the rear spinning at low enough speed and it will disable. ;D

Thanks for the vid. Just another average "power user" day on a big fat road bike. (He was on roads mostly ::024::)

Nice vid, and the ABS and TCS had to be OFF to do this. Definitely a couple of spots the rear is locked for turning.

Watching that video with all that magnificent riding and then hearing him speak in French, which I don't understand, I couldn't help but make the analogy of watching a movie, cast with a beautiful woman in a speaking roll.

Since I speak and understand French, here is the literal translation of the speech of the rider (Dave Fretigne):
"I don't know if I'll be present on the next Dakar with a 1200 Super Ténéré, whatever today I have a new way to discover trails and I was really astonished to see the abilities of a 1200 on small enduro trails. This is a moto ready for open spaces, riding long trips. And one realizes it has an extraordinary potential even on tiny enduro trails. It is really my field of expertise and I really enjoyed myself today."

I suspect this guy is paid by Yamaha, but he didn't twist too much the truth!

The Urban Tenere video is what sold me a couple years ago. I can still watch it and it gets me going.

Great video for a rainy day. Really cool to see the guy jump the massive beast but not something I would want to do on my raven gem but pretty cool none the less.
