Went out to the lake to night to try to rack up some miles and get to 600 by Saturday. I was driving down into a canyon when a freaking fawn jumped out in front of me. I'm glad old babe has some good brakes, or I'd still be scraping deer carcass off of him. Can't wait to get those Denali 2's installed this weekend. Hopefully its an easy and quick set up!

Up here we call em woods rats, Whacha call em down there with no trees? I hit one last year on my FJR. so lucky, hit her with the tire dead center int he hind leg and kicked her out of the way. High Noon, very unusual.

Glad your new steed kicked in her technology and kept you safe. I tested mine on an inattentive driver at about 18.5 miles. I am a new believer in ABS.

I see them all over the place on my before daylight runs, so far they have been very respectful and turned around to dart back into the woods. They hear the bike before the lights hit them. The Versys was the best at alerting deer, never seen so many that would be running away before I rounded the curve.

Glad to hear it worked out okay. I have a friend that hit a deer at about 65mph once. Bike was ruined but he got out okay with minor injuries.

I had a doe run accross all 4 lanes in front of me this past Saturday at 2pm. Fortunately I & the other drivers saw her in plenty of time.
I also damn near ran over a red fox and have had two birds narrowly escape becoming headight ornaments. I hope this bike isn't becoming an animal magnet ???

Love it. I do some work on Randall haul truck and he told me he wanted to me to come by after I picked it up. He also told me he wanted one but he couldn't buy one, I told him he could buy one and hide it at my house.
