Hello to all! I've been a fly on the wall around here for some time now soaking it all in. Took the leap yesterday on the blue mean machine and could not be happier! Admittedly, I was nervous because I have only owned sport bikes for the last 10 yrs. However, all doubts were squashed soon after departing from the dealer. This bike will be ridden mainly on the tarmac but I foresee some light off-road duty in the future. I demoed the BMW GS models (standard and adventure) and the Ducati Multistrada which were nice bikes but the Beemers seemed to be overpriced and the Duc was so vibey that my hands went numb on the test ride. This bike is unquestionably the best bang for your buck adventure touring bike IMHO.

I think my wallet is hiding but as soon as I find it the farkeling will begin. :D It's been unseasonably warm around here lately and I hope the snow stays away because I'm having a ball running this bad boy in. ::26:: I am elated about my purchase and I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for your contribution of facts and opinions on this forum. I felt like I was picking up an old friend from the dealership!

::015::

That looks good, Jason. I am sure you will enjoy it more and more as you get to ride it.

I am 3 hours west of you in IL and also have been enjoying this warm weather. Let's hope it keeps up until spring time and then gets warmer.

Welcome to the forum.

Seems that I'm in good company! I met another forum member here, johnnail, the day he picked up his black ride a few months back. He's in Indiana also and he definitely helped me with my decision via his opinions of the bike.

Thanks guys!

Hi Jason,

I'm only 10 days by boat away from you.

Pop in for a ride some time. :D

Welcome to "Super" world.

Mild mannered by day, leaping tall erosion humps in a single bound the next.

By the way, you look a bit young?
I expect some exceptional video's in the near future using youthful exuberance and testosterone to it's best advantage. ::26::

::004:: aboard.

::003::
Graham

PS. I am not usually insane. It's Monday.

From the results of the "age" poll conducted a while back, I'm thinking that I may be apart of a minority around this community. And yes, I have 2 contour cameras for video and chomping at the bit to scrub in some new pegs on the twisties. O:)

You and me both, dude. I prefer to think that our little minority is "wise beyond its years." :D

Congrats on the new ride and welcome!

Welcome Thatslife! Enjoy your new slower ride! Slower than sport bikes, but very fun in so many other ways.
