It is great to have a coordinator and you have been that. If somebody else can step in, they can be a focal person for the campground, people's questions about the event and area, arrange for a meeting location, and such.

A coordinator isn't essential but does make the whole thing better for everybody. If somebody else will pick this up, you really have made it easier for them because getting things started is the hardest part.

Why can't we all just show up and have our rally.
Who needs a tour guide, I for one don't follow "tracks" I make my own tracks.
I'll be there even if I'm the only one.
I'm with you on that!
I will be there, got the vacation, got the reservations, got the bike, I think I'm ready ::012:: ::001:: ::26:: ::021::

I'm pretty sure that will be the end result, a great location surrounded by fellow riders thats all we really need. I'm planning to be there. The work you have gone to so far won't be wasted. Hope it all works out for everyone.
We have a cruise booked right after the gathering, I will be leaving my bike stored in Vegas area for a few weeks then flying back after the cruise to ride it home. The sacrifices we make for our family and fun times..

I'd like to do this ride with or without a formal leader.

I'll need to make my decision closer to the actual date but right now there is nothing standing in my way.

That's the spirit right there. I don't need to be there for tea rally to still exist. All I was doing was working on getting a few Door Prizes for y'all.
You have done a great job getting thinks started , I vote that you just stay in charge and then not show up if that's what happens.

Steve I will go with you as much as I can with motels. With the surgery I will miss several planned rides this year (Romney) but should be totally healed by this one.

Just one request. Have to hit AZ and NM so I finish riding lower 48.

I will attend this event. Coming from north of Salt Lake Utah. The back country roads of Utah to Zion area. If anyone wants to meet up in Ogden Utah and ride down let me know

Sorry to hear about your surgery.
We might have a good group all riding out.

With many still interested, I think I'll make it too. I see there are(were?) some sponsors already onboard. Will they still be there? I understand a "coordinator" is not absolutely necessary but, sure helps to have some organization. If someone familiar with the area steps up, I'm proposing a small fee for there efforts. Even if lacofdfireman were to still lead this, I'm for a small fee for his efforts. $10 or $20 per person is reasonable to me and the leader can buy something nice for his bike or do whatever with the monies. Please don't chastise me for making this suggestion, it's just that any "organized" ride I've done went smoothly with an organizer and $20 is a small price for a well organized event.
Peace.

I'll be there. Already have a cowboy cabin reserved. I've no problem paying a cover charge. First trip to Utah, but that ride to the Grand Canyon is calling me! Approx. 1100 miles from central WA to Zion, could do it in 2 days but 3 days sounds less grueling and less interstate ::008::

Looking forward to meeting and riding with the ADV Bike 1%ers.
>:D

Sorry Steve I'm not big on ride reports , being dyslexic its kind of hard or maybe just lazy. Any way six weeks in New Zealand was awesome. Three weeks on the 660 and three weeks in a camper van with the wife. Looks like I'm still in for this ride and would love to meet up with you for the ride out.

Paul.

Sounds like a plan Steve. New Zealand is absolutely amazing I'm trying to figger out how I can afford to make it back, maybe for 4 weeks in Australia and 6 weeks in New Zealand.
