Hi guys. After being a lurker for a little white I have jumped into the fray. I have owned over 50 bikes in my lifetime. The S10 seat is worst ever. I love the bike but hate the seat. I have read much on here about Hi and Lo and Flat and slanted. I just purchased a used Bill Mayer sadde. Can anyone tell me or show me how I can have this in the low position and have a flat seat instead of low and slanted forward. I only have a 29" inseam so tall position doesn't work well. I also bought the new low rubber buttons from Yamaha. Thank you in advance knowing the wealth of knowledge here is vast.

Welcome to the forum, OLDSKIGUY.
If you Google search for "how to level a super tenere seat" or "tenere seat level" you will find the video.

Congratulations on the new Tenere ! Yes the stock seat sure ain’t nothing to brag about but I rode on one for 50,000 miles before finally switching to a Corbin, the Corbin does work much better for me but i do wish it wasn’t so slippery. As far as changing seat height just remove your seat and take a look the plastic moveable pad that the seat sits on it has pretty nice marks stamped into the frame that clearly indicate exactly where it needs to be for the high H or low L position.
As far as leveling the seat lots of folks report great results from leveling the seat, I tried that and at first it seemed like a nice improvement but I eventually put it back to stock and decided I preferred that, so for me leveling the seat turned out to be just a waste of time and money, hopefully it works much better for you.
I like the looks of the Bill Mayer Seat but I have never actually had the chance to actually try one, hopefully it will work out very nice for you. I’ve only owned 13 motorcycles so far in my life and the Tenere is the first motorcycle I ever really felt the need to buy a different seat for.

Welcome aboard! There are at least 3 or 4 threads in the Tech forums about modding the seat. The first member to detail the mod was lotecredneck; if you search for seat and his name in the search page here, it should be the first thread to pop up.
