I am looking for any insight(s) you might offer regarding underwear for the summer months. I know cotton isn't the best idea...learned that the hard way with a bad rash from it. I am also looking for no seams in the butt area. Thanks for you help.

LD Comfort. It's pricey, but it works great and it lasts. Been using it exclusively when riding for the past 5 years....No complaints. There have also been some good comments on "motoskivies" and a couple other brands, but I don't know anything about 'em. Also, you can check on "WebbikeWorld" for reviews of various similar products. Cotton is NOT what you want to wear on a bike on a hot summer dayl ::)

LD Comfort riding shorts. Just what you are asking for. Many Iron Butt riders use them. They incorporate double layer wicking layers, almost no feel seams.

LDComfort for the win. Hot or colld weather doesn't matter. I would bet that at least 95 of the 100 entrants in the 2015 Ironbutt rally will be wearing them. That being said I really, really like my exotic io undies as well.

Been using Underarmour for many years now and over 100K miles. It works.

I find the underarmor to be very comfortable and cool. They do have small seams on the back of the shorts but they aren't noticeable. I had been using standard boxer-briefs and the seams annoyed me just after a very short time. These don't bother me at all.

The UnderArmors are sold at most sporting goods stores and major dept. stores. Might be an easy "try". if you don't like them for riding, you can use them for working out…

BTW, I also do a pre-emptive use of "Monkey Butt" powder on days I know I'm going to be riding along ways and its hot….

Nobody uses Merino wool? My first choice for socks, underwear and thermal layers. Only things I don't like are special care required and cost.
