I've owned a Hayabusa so I know all about a bike having to make noise because there's a lot going on down there......

Saturday at about 81F, starting out the first couple of miles I noticed what I can describe as a slight flutter squeal as I revved up and back past about 1800-2100 RPM. Bike was cool but not cold.

Noise was definitely coming from below and related to the throttle open/close.

Anyone else had this? It did not affect anything ride wise.

Thanks!

When my bike is cold, say during the first 5 minutes of operation, there is a definite "whirl" or flutter sound when you blip the throttle with the clutch pulled in. I cant say I hear the sound under power (clutch engaged). Regardless, it disappears once warm. Cant say I noticed such on my first Tenere or not, but this one definitely has a unique sound when cold. I dont sweat the sound on mine, but cant tell you if its the same thing you are hearing. As always, take it easy on a cold motor.
