I find this amazing!!
I have owned a few bikes over the years and everyone has had some issue that kept it in the garage or the local dealer for not running or some other issue that kept you off the street or waiting on parts..
This is the first scoot that has been a loyal Steed, nothing that has happened to the Tenere is life threatening or keeps it off the road for more than a day or two.
In fact most of the issues have been by my Woody's Wheels rear rim cracking and waiting on another rim to change out, and operator error.
The only throwback was the faulty CCT. this held me up for an extra week waiting on the manual one to show up.
This bike is a keeper!! ::008::

No trouble, ever. Have not even had my headlight recall done. Don't even have any hard start problems. Stock clutch works fine. ECU not reflashed, no clutch switch disconnect stock exhaust and power is great.

::021::

I did change my handlebars but that's because i have short arms

Now about Buffalo, incase nobody noticed we have global freaking going on. What was wet is now drying, cold hot, hot cold and for those that have the same they are getting more of it...hence Buffalo snow of 8' in 5 days and now rain. Build your Arks boys. ::009::

My bike is till in the shop for engine case work from the broken clutch spring earlier in the summer. apparently getting parts in took a long time. some parts in the engine are single install use apparently. About 1 1/2 months now ::002::.
Glad to hear you got your stuff worked out ramsey

432Hz,
No more 18" rim 17" tubeless now no more swing arm burn. ::012::
Your issue is an exception to this thread I would say freakish or faulty spring brother.
I am sure you will have it back up and pounding the dirt soon..

I got a flat tire, once. Plugged it and kept going for another 100 miles of backcountry. That sidelined me for 20 minutes. Damn you, Yamaha .... oh wait, they weren't the OEM tires. Never mind. ::021::

Worst I've had in over 58K miles spread between two bikes (32K & 26K+) is a difficult to shift situation when two thousand miles from home in Newfoundland. Inconvenient when the bike is literally the farthest from home its ever been. Actually caused some concern until I pulled up this site and discovered two squirts of WD40 would fix the problem.

Been around long enough to know some people have had real problems. Trikepilot has had some legitimate clutch problems traced back to a manufacturing issue. Others have also had actual non-user created issues.

I would love to whistle, look the other way and say the S10 is free from any problems...it's not. Fortunately for most of us, the (non-recall) problems do not appear to be widespread across the fleet. Of course that's little consolation for those unlucky few hit with the fickle finger of mechanical fate.

I seemed to remember a couple of guys across the pond having some reoccurring dash issues and of course there's a few with idle speed issues as well.

i guess if one makes something correctly then it works well. From this site I understand that the pre2014 models had clutch issues but they continued to work well enough to get one home. Unless god makes it...nothing is perfect!

I was going to write a long story about all my breakdowns in the two years or riding my 2012 every single day..............but I don't have anything to tell. Somehow I even made it through with the original clutch and Cam Chain Tensioner! Will wonders never cease? ::015::'

Now my BMW was another story..................or stories!
