@ Spasm: Strange, I found Nick to be very responsive. Immediately after I placed the order I received an email that they just missed the courier for Europe and asked if it would be OK that they send it on Jan 5th. I asked him if he could send it the same day anyway and that I would pay the extra postage. He then replied that he was worried "that it migh get lost in the usual backlog that we get here - I very much want not to disappoint you but it just might be better very early Jan??"

I replied: Hi Nick, if you can drop it in the mail today that would be highly appreciated. If not, I’ll wait for early Jan for it to arrive.

So we'll see when it arrives at my place. Would have loved to have them during the holidays, so I can relax and watch them, drink in one hand, XT1200Z keys in the other... ::022::

Why not send him an email? His emai is: nick@nicksanders.com

I had to play them through the lap top. Bloody Limeys with there PAL (Phase Alternating Line).
Me too. However, my laptop has an HD screen so the viewing (all 3 DVDs) was still quite nice and enjoyable! Now on to some reading... ;D

Yep, played fine on the Mac.

Failed on the cheapo and not so cheapo DVD players.

He's a funny chap. Gotta be nuts to cross those barren sand lands on an R1 with street tread.

Went to Nick Sanders "An Evening With" / The Incredible Ride in Soutampton last night. It was great and Nick is a brilliant speaker. he kept the audience of 100 entertained for a couple of hours with tails of his life as a professional explorer and adventurer (that's apparently what his passport occupation says!). really good fun laid on by Dearden Motorcycles as part of Nick's UK dealer tour. If you have had an invite , oe see Nick's website , and are considering it, it's a great evening's out. Lots of freebies and good deals and the opportunity to have a Q and A session with the Man.

I was trying to get him here (US) for the weekend at Romney Cycle (WV), May 19/20, but timing doesn't seem right and Yam USA apparently doesn't see the value in backing a tour of the States... makes you wonder. However will try to organize a showing of "The Incredible Ride".

I received the 3 DVD's and the book.

The DVD the incredible ride is OK (sort of), but the book is much much better. A typical case of The book is much better than the movie.

The other 2 DVD's are a waste of time. No storyline whatsoever. Since he shoots most of the footage himself, and he is on a race against the clock, most of the footage shows him arrive and leave.... short snapshots of a stop and he's off again....

He is a good writer and talker that I do believe. But racing against the clock and filming yourself is not the best situation for shooting an entertaining movie.
