When I was a kid we had a cabin at Crabbes river(Highlands) and this is were I learned to ride bike in farmers fields.
So today I went back to see whats changed.
I had to ride some dirt road and a field to get to my first stop at Fishells River

Then down to the wharf but no Lobster just empty pots.

Then headed towards crabbes river but took some more fields what views along the cliff.

The way I came in

The way out

And views like this

Then on the way home dropped into Stephenville, checked out the sand dunes and got some Subway.

It was a great day.

Looks like it was a great ride. What were the temps like as it's 91 degrees here at 7:00 as I type this? And that's cooler than it has been.

Nice, Sean.

I just printed out some of my Newfoundland photos this evening. Riding up to Upstate New York on Friday and it will be the first time my mother will get to see anything from the trip. Seeing the photos again make me really appreciate your island all over again.

Please keep snapping and sharing.

It's been hot for up here it was 32c(90f) when I left Pasadena but out by the water it was a steady 23c(73f).
The humidex has been high, around 85% for the last week so it feels more like 100F.

That seems pretty extreme for you. Don't worry I'm sure your 16 feet of snow will cool things down very soon.

Hopefully not for awhile yet but here is what it looks like when it does.

This is what the woods roads look like in winter
