Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I have a grey 2013 and have enjoyed reading this forum during the past two years. I don't get the chance to ride often, but still enjoy a few day trips now and then.

Happy to join and hope to contribute now and then.

I am out in the Coachella Valley.

Hoping to sort my bike out and get to know it a little better. Only have 1,200 miles on it. Hopefully can find a few of you guys to ride with someday.

There's a nice restaurant at 371 & 74 that we could arrange a meet at... Or, when it warms up, Idyllwild is always great.

That sounds good. I am assuming this forum has a PM service and we can coordinate there.

I meant to ride to Idyllwild this past summer but a friend of mine talked me into riding through Joshua Tree. He didn't want to go up the mountain as he is a newbie and was on a rented Harley. Needless to say at 109 degrees it was a bad decision.

Anyhow, I am pretty certain I know the place you are talking about meeting as I have seen it on Google Earth!

Welcome aboard!

Coachella Valley is a great base for hitting some fun roads, like Palms to Pines, 243 from Idyllwild to Banning, along with the 78/79 highways to the south, or head north into the San Bernadino Mountains....

Thank you for the information. I have family in Prescott and the surrounding areas. It won't be long before I am riding the back roads into Prescott! ::012::

HBLQRider: I've got a brother from another mother living across from Granite Mtn Stables. I go from NE L.A. over I-40 & down 89 once every month or two.

I have never been to that particular area but Googled it. Looks like Granite Mountain Stables is due west of the Prescott airport. I have family in Prescott proper, Prescott Valley and Dewey.

The last time I rode to Prescott was probably 1990 on my CBR1000. That's around the last time I had a street bike. All of my riding has been off road since then.

Anyhow, when I ride to Prescott I will hop off the 10 onto the 60 and then ultimately in from the south on the 89. Have never come in from the North (Hwy 40). Anyhow, looking forward to riding that route again soon.
