Hi folks, quick intro ... I am 57 yrs young, been riding since I was 17 ::008:: and had god knows how many bikes over the years ... all sorts.
Probably had a dozen this year, I just love them and anything from a Honda 90 to a ZZR1400 have been a pleasure to ride.

Just sold my 3rd ZZr1400 even though I love them, just daft quick and I rode them a bit daft and also the riding position hurts the old neck and back now ... so bought a 2017 S10 as I have fancied one for ages.
First impressions are good, fitted a Yoshi can and enjoy the thump .... cant wait until I can get a decent tour under my belt, I like a decent Euro trip each year so me and the Mrs will plan something for next summer as I did Spain and France in May on the ZZR.

So ... howdy to our friends across the pond, I love the USA and had some of the best of times on the West Coast and aslo mountain biking in Sedona ... lovely country with great folks ::012::

I am sure I will mate ... I like twins and I love the riding position. Part of the reason of splashing out on a brand new one is to stop me keep chopping and changing and having hankered after a S10 for a while I decided to have one as a 'keeper' ... just need the weather to buck up a bit now ;) :)

Hi Noodles and welcome to the forum, got my 66 XT1200ZE from Skellerns in Worcester done 4K since last October and love it. I found Switzerland a great place to tour back in 2014 on a Yamaha Bulldog.

Hi Nissbird ::008::

Got mine from Skellerns also, Chris Skellern sorted my deal out and was a nice fella ... all the staff seem nice people and I am booked in for my first service.

I did Switzerland a few years ago ... its lovely isnt it?

Not sure about next year but CZ looks promising and Slovenia ... we will be off somewhere though, just need to sort out which pannier set to go for?

Might see you out and about around Herefordshire, lovely area :)

Been through the panned selection pain and decided on Givi Trekked Outback 37l & 45l from Sportsbike shop. Also just fitted a Leo Vince end can to mine and love the sound...

Off to Spain in a couple of weeks time with my wife touring the Pyrenees. 7,000 miles on my 16ES brought last October already. Just changed the tyres at 7,100 miles.

::004:: aboard from a showery Bedfordshire.

Having run a couple of Hayabusas, an early ZZR14 & then a ZX10R I can appreciate you situation - brilliant bikes, but licence busters in todays traffic conditions. The Super 10 will need a bit of 'adjustment' though - thoroughly enjoyable, reliable, go anywhere bikes though, perfect with Wales on your doorstep.

My bike is at Skellerns at the moment, a nipple fell off one of the spokes on the rear wheel (drive side) which then scratched the rim slightly but really marked the swing arm. No quibbles from Chris they ordered a new rim and repaired the swing arm, its just having the new rim fitted by a wheel expert, should get it back next week. They let me have a 700 Tracer in the mean time, but its just not the same. I shall check the spokes regularly from now on.

Greetings from Malta and welcome to the forum, Noodles. I do several short trips and one longish trip to Europe every year. Contact me if the wind carries you far down Europe.

Bet you can't wait to get it back? Been told to keep an eye on the spokes ... had a 900 Tracer as a demo for an hour, great fun but not for me though.

Welcome from Swansea!
Well worth getting into checking the spokes from time to time, especially if you've ridden off road, a long ball ended hex driver on a 1/4 drive torque wrench is a quick way. After a mate lost 3 spokes on a long trip I've cable tied mine where there cross, using clear/white cable ties and you can barely see them.

Had a decent test ride on the MT09 myself and it is a great bike, but also not for me. Felt like it was always begging to be thrashed!
And more importantly so different from my Tiger 1050.
Rode the S10 on the same day and liked it enough to decide to sell my Tiger and get one.
