That looks terrible. It's as if they tried breeding a Smart Car with a Corvette and chose the worst looking one.GrahamD said:And heres what it is. Just a shell at the moment.

Better known in the US (though many don't realize Yamaha made the motor) was the Ford Taurus SHO.Dogdaze said:Will be interesting to see what it looks like, Yamaha are known to collaborate with auto manufacturers for engines, the most well known (or not!) was the 1967 Toyota 2000 GT
It's supposed to weigh 800kg or something, Now if they made a V8 out of R1 bits....380Hp...AVGeek said:Better known in the US (though many don't realize Yamaha made the motor) was the Ford Taurus SHO.
Interesting concept. I like the idea of a small sporty coupe, especially if it's a convertible.
Well Yamaha did make the engine for the Taurus SHO, but not the whole car. Also, the V10 in the Lexus LFA was built by Yamaha as were all of Toyota's first DOHC engines going back to the mid '70s at least. Yamaha is not a stranger to automobiles. I always thought it was interesting that Yamaha also built the first competitive 4-stroke motocross bike, something I would have expected Honda to do first.AVGeek said:Better known in the US (though many don't realize Yamaha made the motor) was the Ford Taurus SHO..
Are you sure? I thought Yamaha was consulted to tune the exhaust and get the sound into the cab to Toyota's liking.WJBertrand said:Also, the V10 in the Lexus LFA was built by Yamaha
