After hanging out on this board for a couple of years and listening to all of your comments and knowledge the stars finely came together and I am now the proud owner of a used 2012 Super Tenere. I wanted to get a new ES model but finances just wasn't going to allow this to happen. The bike came equipped with a head light guard, Givi crash guards, factory heated grips, Givi MonoKey racks for saddle bags, Rox Risers, a new set of Anakee Wild tires and only had 5266 miles on it. Because the Anakee Wild is a full knobby tire and most of riding will be street I have ordered a set of Mitas E-07 Dakars, this is a 50/50 tire and should suit my needs just fine for the times I do go off road. I now have to hook up with folks in my area who don't mind a novice tagging along. I live about an hour north of San Francisco in Sonoma county. Again thanks to all the wonderful people on this board that help make the choice an easy one. As soon as I can figure out how to size and upload photos I will post

Thanks

Rich

Congrats! I just got an S10 as well! Been really enjoying it. I'm down in SJ, if you make it down here to the South Bay let me know, be down to meet for a ride.

Welcome to YST and congratulations on your 2012. Not sure where you live in Santa Rosa but if you want to meet for ride https://goo.gl/maps/AbKXLLfjaJq we could meet at Pope Valley Market and ride to Turtle Rock Cafe & Bar then up the westside of Berryessa. Tenere's like Berryessa ::001::

Congrats on your new ride. I've found my '13 S10 to be "the" most trouble free bike I've ever owned, a bike that requires gas, an occasional oil change, and tires...Other than that just ride it! Never had a bike that required any less work or ongoing maintenance (and I've had a BUNCH of bikes over the past 49 years...

Howdy,
Welcome to the forum. Just a quick FYI, the Anakee Wild is also a 50/50 tire. ::013::
Later,
