Quick intro. 59 yo. Just got back to bikes late in 2013 after a 32 year hiatus. I've got a Honda NC700X right now. It gets incredible mpg. The mpg of the S10 is a consideration but not the final straw. The NC will do 75-80 all day but there's not much punch left when passing . The NC and the S10 are both doing 80 mph @ 4000rpm. The NC's redline is around 6,200. From what I've read here , the S10 redline is higher - more like 7,000 (?)
So, at 4000 rpm is the S10 not as strained as the NC? I need a bike to do 600+ miles a day w/o hurting.
The prospect is a '12 w/ 9,000 miles for 9,100 otd.
What think ye, good peoples?
