Hi, new owner of an ST in Townsville Australia, soon to move south though.
I have owned bikes my whole life, have always had dirt bikes and have also ha GSXF, GSXR, and most recently a Harley (thus the screen name). Sold the Harley with the intention of buying a GSA, but a lot of research had me test riding a ST, and an awesome deal on a floor stock new bike made the decision for me!
So it now sits in the stable along side my WR450F, XT225, CR125R and Polaris 850XP. There has been a big shift from Honda to Yamaha in the last year or so.
So, to the ST. It is the standard Aussie delivered blue and silver. Awaiting the first lot of FARKLES ordered and inbound. Side cases and top box, skid plate, AltRider crash bars and Madstad adjustable windscreen bracket.
I am 6ft so the bracket is the one I am most looking forward to. Keen to get the wind control sorted.
I'll get some pics up as the bits start getting fitted.
Great forum here and definitely assisted with my choice of the ST!

Welcome, I've had my St for well over two years and it gets better every week. I still use my WR 450 for all hard off road and the tenere 660 for adventure stuff but the big girl rocks for eating miles and crossing states. Enjoy

::004:: from the Pacific Norhtwest. As everyone will attest here, the bike gets better and better the more you ride it. ::008::

Congratulations on the new machine and welcome to the forum!! I've been pretty amazed so far with both and hope you get as much enjoyment out of the bike and useful info from the forum that I have so far.

Haha, you replied on my intro as well, so I can now say welcome to you too! :D
I have customers in Townsville and should really go show my face soon... you mention moving further South - where to?
And I must agree, this forum rocks and there can never be enough farkles on a bike ::)

Moving to Canberra at Christmas Time for work. My family is down that way, our farm out past Cooma (Tuross, head of the river) in the mountains. So many rides out there!

Now for some pictures. Took a ride up the range today. Few fires about.

Canberra...... hmmm, hope you're getting heated grips before winter!!?? :D
I can see a few trout rods sticking out the back of the bike when you tackle the streams up there ::008::

Heated grips will go on once the temp drops. Not sure of I'll go OEM or aftermarket. OEM seem very expensive.
