That is simply a matter of personal preference. Most of the reviews that I have seen coming from people who have the seat concepts kit, say it is only a marginal improvement. No one seems to ecstatic about it, especially if you already did the flat seat mod with your stock seat.
I have the seat concepts kit with gripper top and carbon fiber sides. I also have a sheep skin seat cover from Alaska leather. If I could do it all over again, I would have just kept the stock seat, did the flat seat mod and then installed the wool seat cover. The wool makes the seat comfortable to sit on year around and adds just the right amount of padding to the seat, without making you sit up much higher on seat. The sheep skin also wicks moisture away from your pants, wrings out easily if it gets soaked, requires no real care, is relatively inexpensive and not so cool looking that you have to worry about it being stolen if you leave it on your seat while your bike is unattended. I didn't mean to change the topic this much but felt it was worth a mention.
