Hello Forum, very happy to ride a 2014 blue Super Tenere back to Temecula, CA.

Looks great next to my XR650!

Took it out for 125 mile loop yesterday and was amazed how easy it was to ride.

Thank you forum members as I browsed many positive posts leading to the purchase.

I'm in San Diego drove up to a Yamaha factory demo weekend at Temecula Motorsports a few weeks ago. I was there to ride the FZ-09, but they did have a sweet looking 2014 Tenere ES in the demo fleet. Were you able to get a test ride before you bought?

I signed up and waited 2 hours for my FZ-09 ride, but due to some idiot's clerical error they oversubscribed the three FZs and I was left out in the cold. The only bike left in that time slot that nobody signed up for was a VMAX, so I went for it. What a pig, but gobs of power. Not my kind of bike, but fun for 20 minutes.

I did stop by Temecula Motorsports and looked at the Demo bikes that day but did not demo any of the bikes. I did see the Gray Super Tenere sitting there but assumed it was a 2013 and not the ES. Talked briefly was a salesman and left.

I had shoulder surgury 10 weeks ago from a offroad get off and was tempted but passed. I saw a couple adventure bikes parked in the lot.

I was able to test ride a friends 2013 a few months ago and was hooked!

Amazing how easy it is to put big miles on these bikes. Just got back from the wine country scoot, nice evening for a cruise.

The 600 mile break in is going well.

Bummer you didnt get a chance to ride the FZ-09 but hey the VMAX scoot test ride had to be cool. Amazing they still produce that model after 30 years or so.
