I too, like many others am coming from a KLR. Before the KLR I was on a BMW 1150 RT. In the year that I had both bikes, I rode the BMW only 3 or 4 times. I was having so much fun on the KLR. After dumping lots of dollars on everything but a big bore kit, it is still a KLR. It will go anywhere I want to go off road, but not very fun much over 70 mph. I was needing something more. After doing lots of research & almost landing on a KTM 1190 Adventure R, I decided on a new 2013 Tenere. The reasons were many. 3 times the hp, an extra cylinder, FI, shaft drive, tubeless tires & many more. Two of the biggest reasons were the price I got it for, & the maintenance, or lack of. I am now in the process of getting the KLR ready for sale (clean & wash). After riding home in the rain, last night, I'm looking forward to some dryer weather this weekend to get out & ride it. Many farkles to come. I think my hardest choice will be the luggage racks/bags.

Welcome Mtman you will love it coming off a KLR. So comfortable and plenty off get up and go. It's a fun bike to farkle too. A lot more choices now after it's been here a few years. I enjoyed reading 14er FAN CLUB by Jerry Funk. Have you climbed a bunch of 14ers?

Congrats on the new Super 10.
I'm just up the road a bit in Loveland.
Maybe we can connect for a ride sometime.

ST-venture - always interested in meeting like minded people. Has anybody done a tech day or a meet & greet on the front range? In the KLR world, those are a lot of fun. A great place to meet people. Of course, these S10's don't need near as much TLC as the viby KLR does. Just gas, tires, oil & ride ::018:: I am still coming to terms with all of the free time I will have now ::025:: A trip up to Estes Park & beyond, etc would be good one of these weekends.

MurphCO - Glad to hear there are more owners in the area :)

The Klr sold in one day. So I'm happy for that part, but will mis some of the single track/hard core off road rides. I won't miss the lack of on road power, nor the vibrations.
