After lots of looking, I just purchased a 2013 Tenere last Monday. Got it registered Tuesday and played hooky from work on Wednesday to go get to know it a little. After a few hundred miles, I'm really enjoying it and working on a list of things to dial it in to fit me a little better. First up will be a set of bar risers to reduce the reach to the bars a bit: after a couple of hours in the saddle my neck and upper back were killing me from reaching too far forward. Hopefully the risers will let me sit a little farther back on the seat as well. It has a Seat Concepts seat which seems like it would be pretty comfortable IF I were sitting a few inches further back. As it is right now, my backside was in almost as much discomfort as my neck after a few hours. If the risers don't improve this situation, I'll be looking at other seat options later on. The only other thing on my short list will be a decent set of tires to replace the horribly squared-off Tourances that are on there now.

Looking forward to getting to know my new bike and this great forum.

Mike.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the Tenere!

BTW, when out riding on a new bike - it's not considered playing hooky! It's therapy!!!!
