Hello ,
From Staffordshire England, Ive only recently changed from an FJR1300 to the super 1200, and I have not had the chance to put many miles on it as yet. My first thoughts are what a fine machine it is, and look forwards to many miles and smiles as I tour next year. Mine is a white one. regards to all. Gerry

Welcome on, Gerry. There are a few in this Forum who have previous experience on the FJR> If you're going to be hitting the gravel a bit, you'll sure appreciate the difference. Glad to have you, and keep us posted.

Hi Gerry, and welcome to the madhouse. I'm just north of you in west yorkshire.
Nice to see the UK numbers building up to a critical mass but we're still outnumbered by our colonial cousins

Welcome aboard Gerry!! I'm one of the ex-FJR riders that made the switch to the SuperT. My only regret is that I wish I could have kept the FJR as well!! Both are great bikes, but I think the SuperT will be one that will do it all far better than the FJR could have.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I have used Yamaha machines for many years, moving from a GTS 1000, to three FJR's and now the XT. I did look at the other options such as BMW and others but feel that the XT ticks all my boxes but only time will tell. I don't think I will be rideing off road but look forwards to learning about my new bike.

I thought there must be someone with another XT not to far away, they seem to be few and far between at the moment, we just need the dreaded ice and salt to stay away for a few months.

From another semi fossilized Brit.

You will not be disapointed, this bike rocks.
