Hello all, picked up my Tenere a week ago, came over from riding a Suzuki C50. I saw the light and am MUCH Happier. Seeing a lot of great mods out there. Just picked up the bigger factory windshield and deflectors for $100. Now working on getting a set of Nelson Riggs 850 bags set up but having problems getting them to sit right, any insight would be much appreciated. ::001::

Welcome to the Forum gonzo, from Tennessee! There is a wealth of information here to be found for your new bike. It seems that many of us have come from the cruiser world to see the advantages of this great machine. I came from a Kawasaki Voyager and have no regrets on my decision with the Tenere. It just keeps getting better too.

gonzo, greetings from Texas! You're gonna love this ride. I came over from a Shadow Aero 1100. While I miss it sometimes, I have no regrets.

Suggest your first mods are crash bars and an air horn. The first protects your bike and the second protects you. Sorry, I have no insights on the Riggs bags.

You'll love it. Once you get out of Cruise mode, there is no going back. Don't forget to do the free extra 15hp Clutch Switch Mod. Look in Modifications section and you'll get the full scoop. Get those Crash Guards asap. ::26::

Short notice but I know I'm planning on going to the "adventure days" in Castaic for one day on November 10th. It's a BMW sponsored event which I normally would not attend, but I wanted to see some of the vendors since there is quite a list plus it's free. Also to be a fly in the ointment with the Super T.

Take the passenger hand-rails off and flip them upside down. Works great (at least on the Tourmaster bags that I used for a while). This helps the bags sit correctly, and clear the muffler as well.
