Hello, recently sold my C14 and purchased a new to me 2013. The Connie was fabulous just a bit bulky and I was ready to try something new. Honestly I don't see the criticisms that the professional reviewers have with this bike; I think it is just about perfect. I have lurked on this and other sites for years but have never posted online before so apologies in advance for any poor etiquette. BTW, I am 6'0'' and did the winglets and Vstream sport tour screen and have virtually no buffeting (with Bell Mx-9 Adventure). Nice to meet you all.

Like Tyke , I've also had a C14 ..an excellent bike but I think the S10 is going to be a more relaxed ride (read less frantic) ;D

Picking mine up in two days time....enjoy yours ::004::

Welcome and enjoy.
I too had a C14, hated the weight and thought it had the worst brakes ever. Heaven help me if I ever got into a corner hot and tried to ease on the brakes, they would not transition well and the abruptness would upset the chassis horribly. Was glad to sell that bike after 18 months and 26,000 miles.

I had a 2008 C14 Connie for a few years.

A great sport touring bike. Wind protection is great compared to my 2014 S10.

The C14 is also a great bike but no cruise control and it loves to hit 100 MPH in areas zoned for much less.

Each bike has its place. The only times I wish I was on my old C14 is when I really want to pass at interstate + speeds and when I want a quite still large air pocket.

S10 is more comfortable for my size frame.

Enjoy your new ride

It seems like a lot of us have come from a C14. I had it for 30,000 miles and it was great on the super slabs but I'm getting older and it seemed to get heavier. I have to agree that the more you ride the Super Ten, the more you will like it.

I think reviewers that complain about the S10's weight have never ridden a C14. With that said, I rarely found it to be an issue underway. For me it was more just the overall bulkiness, and difficulty in hustling through tight twisties. I was coming off of an air cooled Multistrada when I got the C14 so maybe I was spoiled. S10 feels like a dirt bike to me; much more agile.
