Hey everyone,

Looking to get back on an S10. Had a 2012 that I sold, went to the dark side, 16GSA, for a while and now looking for a use S10 to pick up.

Glad to see this place is still going!

Welcome, from Texas. Gee. Why would you want to leave the flagship of German engineering and technology, and come back to a such plain ol' thing? :D

welcome, fellow Coloradain, lived here since 61 I run a 2017 s10es and I love it. I also had a 2011 GS but got rid of it, I got tired of having to pay a cover charge just to walk in a BMW shop. What made you get rid of yours?

Yes they are, I have had a number of German cars and love them, but the Japanese run for ever with a lot less repairs.
I have had an RT and a GS ended up getting rid of both just because the service prices were ridiculous. Nice bikes but the breaking point for me was being forced to bow at the feet of a BMW tech and kiss his feet and thank the motorcycle Gods for allowing me to breath the same air of that superior human.

I had a 2016 and absolutely loved it. Put about 30k on it in 5 years. I sold it for a few reasons. One was because I wasnt going to be doing longer trips anymore with a little one at home. I got tired of writing BMW of Denver $1,000 checks every 6-12 months. I also became tired of the service advisor there treating me like an idiot when I went in and said something else wasnt 100% and like it was my fault and not BMWs.

I really want another S10 but the Africa Twin AS is also pretty enticing. I want something I can put fuel in, chain the tires and oil and just ride.

Denver BMW is the worse, that is where I bought my 2011GS I had them put paniers on mine when I bought it and one of them blew off and I didn't know it and they tried selling me a replacement.......Up to the point of me getting ready to make scene on the show room floor...Then it turned into a matter of just shutting me up.....I got that panier replace but they didn't want to

Sounds about right. When they had the fork recall I went in and spoke to them about it and getting scheduled. I was told if I am not jumping or abusing my bike I don’t need it. I said NHTSA disagrees with them and I would like to get it done under recall. He told me they had all the parts and were doing floor bikes first so they could be sold. I said well you already have my $25k and I am riding my bike daily, wouldnt it make sense to take care of the customer you currently have so I come back for my next bike? He said no…..so I went to foothills and never went back.
