The GPS track for the New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route was published yesterday.

http://www.backcountrydiscoveryroutes.com/NMBDR

I'm thinking that early June would be a good time to ride the route before it started getting hot and hopefully miss the Monsoon.

If you are near the DFW area, the movie on the route will be showing on March 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Texas Theater, 231 W Jefferson Blvd, Dallas, TX 75208.

If anyone is interested in joining me, give me a shout.

Just a reminder if you are in the DFW area, the NMBDR movie will be showing at the Texas Theater this Sunday at 2:00pm.

I'm going to have lunch at Herrera's before the movie if anyone would like to join me.

I live in NM, and will probably be riding the route late June.
Monsoon does not start here until late July/August...

Hi Steve,

I'd be interested in doing the NMBDR, don't know that I'll have time though. I'll follow this thread and try to keep some open dates in June. Spring rains show no sign of letting up here in the PNW. That just means plenty of time for working on boats in the shop though.

Paul,

Great! Maybe we can wait till late June and tag along with Bart. More of us to help with picking up each other's bike. :D

Please stop hoarding all the rain!
We want some, and we want it now, before the summer starts!
Our winter started off great, but since new years, moisture has been few and far between.
Starting to look like another drought year for us here in the desert southwest.
El Nino` looked promising, but is starting to let us down :'(

A few areas of East Texas and Louisiana got way more than they needed, I'm sure they would share if they could.
It looks like the long range forecast still has above normal precipitation this spring for New Mexico.
