Hey everyone!

Just picked up a new 2014 S10 after much research and deciding to switch from my R12GS. Gonna be selling the GS now. Wanted something more reliable and newer. Got the bike two weeks ago, have put almost 800 miles on it so far, been really enjoying it and getting used to how different it is than the previous bike. Been a little annoyed with the jerky on/off throttle, but have been adjusting to it and still really happy with the bike!

Looking forward to some future trips on it hoefully.

Last summer my gf and I did a 2up two month 12k trip around the US, so ever since then I've been dreaming of the next trip!

This is from the day I bought it before the 150 mile trip home.

14s10, simply wash ( use a car was soap and water),look into gas tank protection need the knee area. I use tech spec on the gas tank. This product can be removed without fear of removing the paint.
Check the spokes use an extended ball end allen wrench and a torque wrench. Set each spoke to 6Nm, check after the first 600 miles then at the next oil change.

You will grow into this machine as the miles build up, the forum has a discussion about setting up the suspension, worked great for me.

Good Luck

Welcome aboard! The consensus here is that these motors take a good 8-10K miles to really bed in, so it will take a while to smooth out. Also, are you noticing the jerkiness in S or T mode? Of course, you can always get the ECU flashed and get it dialed in exactly the way you want it.

I've been using touring mode, sport mode is even worse. I've been getting more and more used to it as the miles rack up.

Thanks! Yeah I've heard about the spoke issue, I'll keep an eye on that.
