Hi Everyone

Just introducing myself. I'm Trev from Winchester in the UK. I am collecting my 2013 Super Tenere next week and I cant't wait ;D

Looks like tons of info on here so looking forward to finding out lots about the bike, and probably asking a few dumb questions too :-[

Welcome aboard and ask away.

As you mention, a benefit of the bike having been around for 6 (non-US) model years is that there are numerous previous threads for you to find with the search function here. You can spend many happy reading and drooling hours.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I had it for half a day on road test and loved it ::008:: I had an XJR 1300 and had been thinking about a Tenere for some time but some how got seduced by the MT/FJ 09 Tracer, so I bought one new in March, a great bike in many ways, but I soon realised it was not for me - an expensive mistake :-[

I always had a feeling the Tenere would be perfect for me. I must remember to follow my gut instinct in the future !!

While I am waiting for my bike I'm starting to go cross eyed watching all the videos and reading all the reviews, plus now devouring all the info I can from this excellent forum !

A quick question - I am trying to work out if it is possible to save or save a link to a particular subject/post I want to go back to at a later date without having to try and remember where I saw it ?

Thanks again everyone ::008::

Well I have clocked up a few hundred miles since I collected the bike and I am happy to report that i think the S10 is FANTASTIC!!!

I always had a feeling it would be the bike for me and my instinct was correct. Everything about it suits my needs. What a great bike ::008::

Even my GS owner mate had to admit he was impressed. We have firmed up dates in June for our trip to the Alps and Dolomites. Can't wait !!!

The Dolomites is perfect S10 territory, I went there in 2013 ::008::

You may find the low gear restrictions quite noticeable on the tight hairpins though, so many corners are in that 2nd / 3rd gear 2k - 5k rpm zone that is nobbled by Yamaha on pre 2014 bikes. You will probably come back wanting an ECU flash.
