New to the Super Tenere. Bought a used 2013 with relatively low miles recently with the express purpose of riding it to the Arctic Ocean and back summer of 2023.

Gotta admit that I'm quite impressed with the bike but disappointed that the aftermarket support is slowly drying up.

Welcome, from Joshua. Yeah, she's been discontinued in the UK/EU so I'm thinking the aftermarket just didn't tool back up after covid. Better get her outfitted sooner rather than later.

T-rex still has skid plates but no crash bars. Maybe now that Yamaha has announced a 2023 model, T-rex will produce more crash bars.

Thanks. Been checking out T-Rex for protection, MadStad for windscreen adjustability / GPS mount, and Motortek for pannier racks. I learned from taking hard luggage on my KLR on the Shadow of the Rockies - New Mexico - TAT that I prefer soft luggage most of the time. Really good sale at Giant Loop has me eyeballing the RTW panniers, but I'm still not convinced...

texBahn, welcome to an awesome forum and congrats on your 2013. The Super Tenere is a great (big) multi-tool and it's lots of fun on our San Antonio/Hill Country roads. Wishing you fun times with it!
