Hey team. Great to join y'all here in Super Tensville.
I'm so new to the breed that I haven't so much as swung a leg over the 2010 model - with just 10,000 kms on it - I've just bought sight unseen (it's at a dealer in NZ and I'm still in Australia).
It's a bit of a leap of faith, but they have such a great reputation that I don't feel like it's too risky. I'll let you know

Get you a McCruise while ur in Australia. Don’t wait a couple of years like I did. Second best thing I’ve done to mine. #1 was getting rid of the torture device they call a seat

Welcome along to the group.

So a 2010 - I guess that could be one of the Yamaha factory press launch bikes that got squirreled away somewhere?

Hello from Australia (the Great West Island )
I assume that that when you say “the good island”, you’re referring to the mainland? (South).

I’ve wanted to ride over there for years since I was first there in ‘99. Bloody beautiful place.

My brother took his Harley over there a few years ago and says that you need to ride the place twice. The first time is to look at the scenery abcs the second time for the roads.

I’d say there is a third reason… to go to Invercargill (Scottish word for “boring $&@! Of a place”) and go to the two cafes that swear that they have the genuine bike of Burt Munro and get someone to say that the other place has the genuine bike

There’s a story from about a year or two ago that it’s actually still in the USA.
