Adventure Rider currently on a 12 V-Strom 650 and enjoying riding as much as possible. I ride N. Ga, E. Tn, W. NC back roads and Forest Service. Been to March Moto Madness in Tellico Plains, TN several times, great event and riding in that area. Interested in getting a larger Adventure Bike and looking at the ST as a possible choice. Current offers from Yamaha are very appealing but would like to test ride one first. Anyway glad to be here and welcoming any comments on changing from V-Strom to the Super Tenere.

My wife and I will be in the Blairsville area all this week starting on Monday. We are planning to mostly ride FS roads, and possibly work our way up into NC.

Friend who has a wee strom says he wants a Tenere as the pegs are lower so more leg room, better stand over height on the Tenere and of course the extra weight makes it more planted on the interstate.
