Not really, but I have been sober for the last 4 years ;). Just picked up a used 2012 and trying to learn more about the bike. Very much enjoying it in the two days I've owned it.
Cheers,

Welcome! You'll find the forum a very useful source of information. What you have is a Gen 1 model, some folks have had a few minor issues which they will surely let you know about; I think something about a cam chain tensioner and a clutch basket maybe. Plenty of info on here about it if yours develops those issues. The Super Tenere has a reputation as a very reliable bike, several have put hundreds of thousands of miles on them. Long Haul Paul comes to mind....

Welcome from Texas. The Tenere is my favorite bike ever. BadNews is correct. There's some guys on here that can tear down, and rebuild the Tenere. . . . blindfolded. "Ask, and ye shall receive".

Welcome aboard Zachary,

It now looks like there are a lot of “things” with the bike. But that’s not the complete picture. They are pretty much bulletproof with only minor (well-known) issues. All very repairable.
Most of all go out and enjoy the bike!
If you encounter some things you have questions about, just let us know.

From the Netherlands,
Stefan
