The more I look at it, the more I like it. The DCT is interesting and different, and every review of the past bikes that have had it, they liked it, even the guys who start out offended by the very idea. On my last trip, I got stuck in stop-and-go traffic hell several times - once on the 401 in Toronto, a few days later on I-95 north of Boston. Each time, I feathered the clutch until my left hand was in agony. I don't like to lane split when it's not legal, because of the mortal danger from road ragers, but both times I eventually had to - my left wrist wouldn't take any more. The DCT would be a blessing for a commuter who had to get through stuff like that.
It would not be a Super10 replacement - I don't want to tour with a chain ever again. But I bet it would be a really fun local runabout. The fake tank storage would mean no worries about luggage of any sort; I could just use as is, to go to the store or whatever. No farkles to buy, just turn key and go.
