Thank you Bryan (AVGeek) for approving my registration.

I recently acquired a 2013 Super Tenere with 2.3T kms on it. My previous but still with me bike is a Ducati HYperstrada. The Hyperstrada is now with the dealer and as soon as it gets fixed, it will be posted for sale.
I've been eyeing a Tenere for a year now and was luck to find a very good 2nd hand. I love going around the Philippines and I'm sure my new bike will bring me places without any problem.

A recent trip before my Hyper broke down. This was going up Sagada, a mountain province north of Manila

And this is my new bike that I truly adore now.

I'm looking forward to our new adventures together.

Welcome, my wife is a visayan. I've not made it to Sagada yet but it is in the future as I want to see the hanging Coffins.

Beautiful roads around Luzon, tons of twisties. The farthest north I have been is banawe to the rice terraces.

Mabuhay!

Long time visitor to Pinas here. Just spent 10 days there over Thanksgiving. I found a great rental place in Pampanga this trip and I'm planning to return mid Febuary to do a week long dual sport ride in northern Luzon. Only $150 a week rental for a brand new Honda CRF250L. I already started losing weight so the small bike can haul me around a little better if I'm 30 lbs lighter. If we stick to dirt roads like you pictured no problem keeping up with the Tenere. I could also rent a Versys 650 for double the cost and then would meet the 400cc minimum to have the option of riding expressways if desired. But those are fitted with street tires so giving up dirt road capability. I'll PM you my Smart cell number and email address.

Replied to your message David. Keep in touch. During our trip to Sagada last November, I met a bunch of guys who are into off road/dual sport bikes. They were riding Hondas and Yamahas 250cc dirt bikes. A bunch of fun and crazy guys. Cheers!

I weigh close to 230 and have no trouble tooling around n the little 125cc scooter in PI even with someone riding behind me.

For just riding around the village or short jaunts to the city or market yes I agree. I lived in Thailand for 3 years and my main transportation started with a 100cc Honda Wave scooter. Rode that 2 or 3 up everyday and occasionally 4 and even 5 up. Then upgraded to a 125cc Honda Sonic more like a real motorcycle with 5 speeds and clutch. Then finally bought a 200cc Honda Phantom and everybody in the village called it a big bike and couldn't understand why I wanted to pay extra for the gasoline it used, 70 mpg vs 100 mpg or higher. Lol

But this ride will be dual sport and some off road so I need the extra engine grunt and suspension. Also might be some stretches of pavement I want to ride faster than 50 mph. This is the ride I just missed last month. Will probably ride something similar to this.

This is me in Thailand with my first scooter and the weight I'm trying to get back down to. I've made 10 lbs of progress already since Dec-1, another 20 lbs to go.

We call those bikes here "underbones". My company has 3 of those for deliveries and messenger stuff. They are bad ass tough and just keeps on running, the Hondas I mean.
