New for $11750 plus fees AND is equipped with Touratech panniers, crash bars, skid plate, and handle bar risers. I had a 2012 Super Ten and life changes I had to sell. Now I am ready for another bike and I just keep coming back to the S10. Is there anything I should know about the 2013's? I know there was a recall on the headlight issue after I sold mine. But otherwise this is really killer deal. All that Touratech stuff on it must be 3500 bucks by itself!

I just bought a new leftover 13 farkled up it is the most bike I have ever bought for the least amount of money in my 30 plus years of buying bikes.I can ride it a couple years and lose maybe $1500 a year,I have no regrets at all.

'14 is the first year with the 'changes'. The '13 should feel just like your '12. Listen for that timing chain slap on start-up some have had with higher miles, otherwise you should be good to go... New? Scratch that. '13 may have been later than the sub harness recall, but it's worth having your dealership run the vin.

Yea I do believe harness recall included the 13's. But dealer "should" have corrected that. The biggest bug for me on my 12 was the occasional engine cutting out on me from stops etc. off of idle. Can't understand that. Is that chain "slap' you speak of just a characteristic of engine or something wrong?

Generally initial throtle body sync. and back right co screw out 3/4 turn along with break in miles gets rid of "cutting out" issue."Chain slap or excessize chain noise at start up is c.c.t..Generally not on issue until higher miles (+30k).Easy fix 2 different ways. All this stuff is extremelly well documented on this forum. No worries ,enjoy.Jim

As part of your Welcome Back, need to read up on the Cam Chain Tensioner thread(s). As noted, higher miles, and not all of them, and easy to fix.

Not against a 2015 model either. Talked back at the dealer that had the bike for sale and got kinda bs. 15 otd ? 3300 for tax license and whatever setup crap seems much. thought it would ring in at about 14000. So looking at the new ones. I suppose the minor hiccups with tensioner and idle stalling have been fixed.
