I have a Touratech Rack and need to remove the OEM Pannier rack. There are bunches of screws that I need to remove. Do any of y'all know if I would be missing any hardware when removing the OEM rack and installing the TT rack?

Disassembled the pannier racks tonight. General rule of thumb: If it's a black bolt, then it won't stay on the bike. If it's silver, then it stays with the new rack.

OEM Pannier Assembly guide can help you figure out what bolts are where. Wasn't of much help to me (I just started to figure out black bolts go away after several minutes) and didn't bother looking at the guide.

Also, the OEM panniers use a T50 Security Torx bit.

It's really annoying to have to buy one of these but after thinking about it, I might get a security bolt for the Touratech racks. As of right now, someone could feasibly unbolt the racks with standard allen wrenches. I highly doubt someone's going to go through with that but it's possible.

Hopefully you have the original bolts for the grab handles. They are shorter. Other than that, the black, heavy gauge steel hardware is easy to identify and remove.

I don't have the original bolts but the Touratech rack comes with its own bolt that fits fine. It was actually pretty simple taking the OEM rack off. Putting the TT rack on is a different story. Whole process took 2.5 hours but I was also doing this at night time with the help of a single street light. I'm not very bright. The street light, on the other hand, very much was.
