I bought some Rox Risers and the don't seem to fit the bar clamps on my tenere. They seem like they should be flush on the barrel all the way across. Is this wrong? Or is it supposed to be like this? FWIW I bought these used off AdvRider.

Bike is a 2015 ES

Leaving on a trip in 2 days and wondering if it's ok to run them like this or should I take them off?

I'm not sure but they look like they belong to the 2012 Gen 1 version, the Gen 2 (your bike) is different. Contact the person that sold them to you to confirm.

DogDaze is correct. You have the Gen I version, not the Gen II version. Return them for exchange before you take them for a ride.

These were purchased through a forum so can't be returned. I'm getting ready to buy a KTM 300. Maybe they will work on that bike. I did tighten them up and they seem solid but I'm leaving on a 5 day ride and better not risk it. Bummer

They should work on your KTM as they are the same size bars.

I rode around for a year with the '12's on my '14 and they worked fine, but everyone's tolerance level is different. The Gen2's are identical to those except for the round clamped part is longer to account for the offset. Honestly, I was a little bummed about that as I was hoping they would follow the profile of the Gen2 OEM clamps.

Pulled them off my Ténéré. I'll just buy new ones for the next trip. I don't want to take any chances even though I think they would have been fine. I'll put them on a new dirt bike.

Funny. I bought a set of these off the adv forum, with the exact same results. I tried to put them on last night, and thought I'd do a search and double check when I saw this post.

Live and learn I guess.
