I posted earlier this week about my plans to pick up a Super Tenere this weekend if everything worked out. Well, I drove about 3.5 hours to Willmar Minnesota to have a look and make a deal. Everything went well, and I ended up bringing the BRAND NEW 2014 ST home. It was one little storm cell after another, so I was glad my buddy lent me his truck and trailer for the trip! I put on about 80 gentle miles today, working on the engine break in. Tomorrow I plan on driving all over town racking up those break in miles! I love it already, and am really liking the 2014 creature comforts compared to my friend's 2012. Today was a good day, and thank God for that! So, here is my official intro, since I actually am an ST owner now! Cheers.
Also, pics!

Zero miles? The dealership is supposed to run it around a little bit.

Hey, you bought the bike I put a deposit on last month. Originally, it was advertised as an ES. I shot him a price, he accepted, and I gave him a deposit. Just for kicks, I asked for him to send my some pics of my new ride. He sent me some from the showroom and while scanning the photos, I noticed it didn't have an electric shock. Immediately I called and inquired. He swore it was an ES. He called me back about five minutes later with a dejected tone and admitted they had made a mistake in their paperwork. I was bummed. Even thought it was a new '14ES (so to speak), I negotiated it to $12,250. Oh well. I sure hope you got a decent price. Enjoy!

I remember seeing that bike on line. I too was gonna ride down there and buy it. Seemed like a sceamin deal for an es. Guess i know why now. Went to moon in monticello and got a 15 non es instead. Congrats on the bike!
