The 3rd wire (JonnyCinco said:Alright...I have been staring at Steve's diagram and at my wires in front of me. I think I have everything laid out and know most of what I need. HOWEVER, I was planning on using the Highway Dirtbikes brake perch mounted switch instead of the PIAA switch.
I see the HDB switch is a two wire and Steve has a three wire switch. What am I missing? ::014::
No, all you need is a regular 2 wire switch. The PIAA just has a indicator light to tell you when the switch is on and needs a 3rd wire for that function. Just hook the 2 wire switch up as shown (brown wire - which is 'hot' when the ignition is on) connects to one switch contact, the other contact of the switch goes to terminal #85 on the relay.JonnyCinco said:Sweet deal...so the switch has to be a 3 wire and not two?
Haha! Yep, not so much an eye-opening experience as it is an eye-burning one.JonnyCinco said:Well, I have them installed, but not able to work the high beam...?
I am pulling from the yellow wire in the 4 connector harness, correct?
