After finding I was getting some shoulder issues on longer journeys I started trying a few tweaks in an attempt to sort out the ergos to better fit me. I had found I was riding with Elbows raised and sitting close to the tank which seemed to be stressing my rhomboids/shoulders , rolling the bars back in thier clamps alleviated this a tad but due to the large sweep of the oem bars put the ends at funny angles. Fitting 2" Rox risers allowed the oem bars to be better positioned rearwards but raised the ends too much so I ended up getting a protaper bar to reduce the rise. Sofar my stationary sit on the bike in the garage test seems to have put the bars where I want. The Protapers are a Carmicheal bend which has a lot less rise and sweep than the oem ones but seem to work well with the rox risers. I had to change the bar ends to allow the oem hand guards to be refitted, luckily I had some old KTM 640 Duke ones which fitted the protapers and only needed slight modding to work with the yam handguards. Pics hopefully attached...
Note oem bars and Rox risers can put too much stretch on oem cables in some positions so if trying this mod trial fit and test full lock both ways before riding in case a jammed throttle chaffed brake/clutch or stressed wiring issue occurs, the Protapers only required the clutch hose rotating at the m/c to clear the fork adjuster.
