Looking for a multi-plier and thought I would ask your opinion. The multi-plier would be used in the toolbox and tank bag. TIA

I've had great luck with Leathermans. I currently have a Wave, but am looking to add a Surge to live in the tank bag.

I use the LeatherPerson as well (one can't be too careful regarding political correctness). I believe it is the Surge. OVer the years, I have had a couple of minor issues with the various LeatherPersons I've had, and they were very quick to correct them, usually just with full replacement. Very accommodating that way. There is one at the bottom of Lake Laberge, if any of you are interested. It's a fairly big lake, however. Just sayin' ... ;D R

I'm gonna buck the trend - SOG - never had a knife/saw/scissors so sharp. And the pliers are great too...

I have an old SOG (actually, I am a bit of an old sog) and it will pinch the snot out of you. Very poorly designed that way. Perhaps they have improved the design over the years. Check it out first. R

I've got one of the older Leatherman Super Tools. Never had an issue with it. On my person, I always carry one of the LM "Micra" knives. I'm on about my third one.

Hate to break it to you Rem, but it's not designed for clearing nasal passages...

Those danged Leatherman tools cost me nothing but more money.
I keep losing them.

I guess the up-side is that I now extra Leatherman belt pouches!

I gave up on the multi-tool pliers, and instead keep a needle-nose pliers in my tool bag, along with a metric tool kit and my tire repair kit. Probably a minority opinion.

I recently got my first multitool, a Leatherman Charge TTi. I've only had it a week and used it a couple times, but I like it so far.

I carry a Leatherman Juice CS4 at all times, it's a little long in the tooth after close to 10 years use. I have broken a couple minor parts (due to abuse) but I use it almost every day for everything from a hammer, a wedge, spacer, pry bar and many normal use too! I also have a Super tool but the CS4 is in my pocket and always handy whereas the super tool remains in it's pouch/ case in my work tool kit as I find it a little bulky for my everyday uses..

Yes, I bought it, and it is well made. It's a little large which makes it clumsy to squeeze into some places. But overall, it fits anywhere a crescent wrench would fit, it is far less likely to round a bolt, and it gives more leverage while packing smaller than a crescent wrench. I like it. :)

I tried to order 3 of them earlier this evening, but they don't ship to Canada. So I used the location of a friend of mine in the States to ship to, but then they wouldn't let me use my Canadian billing address for Visa. So I'm hooped I guess. No email on their website. I might phone them Monday. Mighty poor. NOBODY KNOWS >>>>> R

I didn't order from the factory site I posted. I went out on Amazon and found it for less there. I just posted the link to the factory site because it had a better description page. Does Amazon ship to Canada?

Of course there is a hazard of shopping Amazon for such things: They will fill your recommendations with other things that will set your credit card on fire. "Recommended For You" is the bane of my budget.
