Not sure what happened - posted wrong info? I need to move the luggage box back about an inch or two for my pillion rider. Any ideas? Here's a shot of where it's at now.

I moved mine back 3" to make more room for 2-up trips. I made extension pieces between the Givi plate and their mounting hardware using 3/4" square tubing.

Awesome, would you mind posting a picture so I can get a better idea of how that would work?

I can't see what rack/plate you are running.

I was using a Givi SRA2101, when we ran into this issue. We switched to an Altrider rack, with Givi monokey fittings, which provides about 3cm extra room for the pillion & is a far more robust affair. This replaces all the Yamaha rack hardware.

Whilst maybe not the cheapest solution, we felt it was better than trying to fabricate an alternative base plate or home brewed conversion brackets, albeit a successful solution on my previous KTM990Adv. where we had the self same issue.

Cheers ............... KEN

I did the same for my passenger. I simply mounted the Givi plate on a piece of (3/4"?) thick HDPE plastic cutting board and used longer bolts. Not much to take a photo of, as it's the middle of the Oreo cookie.

Yes, Using the SRA2101, 3CM should be enough. It's a tough pill to swallow at double the cost of the SRA2101.
