I use Tomcat bait chunx. No muss, no fuss. Leave them around for the mice/rats, and voila'. . . . no more mice/rats. . . . without any stink. Just make sure cats/dogs can't get to the chunx. I live on the edge of a pasture, with a creek. Was going through about a pound per week. Down to a pound every two weeks. And, no, squirrels don't eat the chunx.
After cogitating on the whole matter for a few days, I decided to get some of these poison bait thingies to sprinkle around the garage. Good idea.

They're convenient as hell, but Nikolajsen's cat reminded me. . . . don't use the chunx is you have cats. The cat eats a mouse. . . . that ate the chunx. . . . not good.

Code 30.....no start.....I wonder why??

This mabe.......

There was a ton of chewed up paper nesting in the MouseMotorhome under the rear seat. I cleared out most of it before this pic. Evidently...the lean angle sensor wiring was blocking the rodents hallway.

I had let the Ten sit for a month or longer without cranking during this Summer.
Then...the battery was low when I was gonna take the bike to get it inspected...so I put it on a tender after jump starting. A couple of days later I hopped on for a nice ride ta meet other folks for lunch. No problems yet. 125 miles or so that day.

A few more days & time for another ride...
Nope...not this time. Code 30 no start.... Look it up...Lean Angle Sensor malfunction.
So thats when I remembered seeing mice evidence under the rider seat a year or so back.....
Lookin up the complex procedure to diagnose/clear the code.....I instead opted to remove the roof of the Mouse Motorhome instead....& there it was!

Some simple wire splicing & heat shrink & the bike again fired rite up....no code clearing needed.

I have some ultrasonic pest repellant devices on the way for the garage & house

Those little buggers are fast, they had built a home there overnight in my case. I have since moved my moto into the house garage where we park the car and truck, instead of the barn garage down near the woods. No problems since, but I still keep some poison baits in place.
